The GUNT Training System Temperature Control, HSI provides basic experiments on temperature regulation using a metal rod as the controlled system. Temperature is measured at three points with thermistors (PTC), with one value fed into the software controller while the others are recorded to replicate different system responses. The controller adjusts a Peltier element, which can either heat or cool the rod via its hot and cold sides. A fan controlled by the software dissipates heat to study disturbance effects. Temperature is continuously visible on a dial-gauge thermometer attached to the rod. Integrated with GUNT's Hardware/Software Integration (HSI) software via USB, the system supports real-time control response visualization, programmable reference values, and simulations of control systems up to 2nd order. Remote learning and multi-workstation observation via a local network are also supported, making it ideal for technical education and research.
