The Hitachi CLi-081 Chloride Ion-Selective Electrode, 0.6 m (HIRAN-D236010-1) is an indicator electrode for potentiometric chloride-ion measurement and precipitation titration. It operates from 0 to 50°C and is specified for use with the MS-231Z silver reference electrode and compatible COM-300A and COM-A19 automatic titrators.

Key Features

  • Selective chloride-ion response, supporting endpoint detection during potentiometric chloride analysis
  • Suitable for precipitation titration, including methods using silver nitrate as the titrant
  • Operating temperatures from 0 to 50°C, provided the test solution remains unfrozen
  • Standard 0.6 m connection cable, supporting installation on the specified automatic titrator systems
  • Compact electrode body, measuring approximately 135 mm long and 12 mm in diameter
  • Defined cap dimensions, measuring approximately 25 mm long and 16 mm in diameter
  • No internal filling solution, simplifying routine electrode handling
  • Dedicated reference-electrode pairing, requiring the MS-231Z silver reference electrode
  • COM-Series connection configuration, with the CLi-081 connected to IE-2 and the MS-231Z connected to RE-2
  • Verified titrator compatibility, specified for the Hitachi Hiranuma COM-300A and COM-A19

Note: The CLi-081 should be used with the MS-231Z silver reference electrode. The general-purpose RE-201Z is unsuitable for this chloride titration because potassium chloride from its internal solution may enter the sample and cause measurement error. The MS-231Z contains mercury(I) sulfate and must be disposed of through an appropriate specialist waste contractor.

Benefits

  • Provides selective endpoint detection for routine chloride-ion analysis and precipitation titration workflows.
  • Supports established chloride-testing methods for materials such as cement and concrete.
  • Maintains compatibility with existing COM-300A and COM-A19 titration configurations.
  • Reduces the risk of chloride measurement errors when paired with the specified MS-231Z reference electrode.
  • Accommodates varied laboratory sample conditions through its 0 to 50°C operating range.
  • Simplifies replacement planning through clearly defined cable and electrode dimensions.

Why Choose the Hitachi CLi-081 Chloride Ion-Selective Electrode, 0.6 m (HIRAN-D236010-1)?
