Team Training at Matest: Advancing Expertise in Civil Engineering Testing

Hands-On Experience with Matest Instruments

The John Morris Group team recently attended an in-depth training session at Matest , where we gained practical, hands-on experience with a wide range of advanced civil engineering testing instruments.

The training covered several key solutions, including:

  • Pavetest – precision testing systems for pavements and road materials

  • Smartip Pentameter – advanced penetrometer for soil and material strength testing

  • Cyber Plus Progress – universal testing machine with enhanced digital control

  • Softmatic Automatic Ring & Ball – automated system for determining bitumen softening points

These instruments are essential for laboratories conducting materials testing in civil engineering, construction, and infrastructure development.

Learning from Industry Experts

We extend our gratitude to the Matest training technicians and product managers, who shared their expertise and provided invaluable insights into the operation, applications, and maintenance of these technologies. Their guidance ensures that our team can better understand the capabilities of each instrument and pass this knowledge on to our customers.

Bringing Knowledge Back to ANZ

With over 70 years of experience supporting laboratories across Australia and New Zealand, John Morris Group continues to invest in training and development to ensure our team delivers the highest level of technical support, installation, and service excellence.
