High resolution and precision speed and control for delivering smooth, low pulse flows without sample shearing or degradation.

The MINIPULS 3 is a rugged peristaltic pump with interchangeable heads for delivering smooth, low pulse flows of biological and chemical fluids in 1, 2, 4, or 8 channel standard flow rate and 2 or 4 channel high flow rate configurations.

Gilson's MINIPULS® 3 is a peristaltic pump specifically designed to meet process laboratory liquid handling needs. The MINIPULS 3 peristaltic pump combines microprocessor speed control with a high-torque stepper motor. Chemical-resistant pump heads, equipped with 10 stainless steel rollers, set the performance standard in producing smooth, low-pulse flow and reproducible flow rates at higher pressures.

  • Quickly Interchangeable Pump Heads: Standard flow rates (1, 2, 4, or 8 channels)—0.3 µL/min to 30 mL/min at a maximum pressure of 0.5 MPa. High flow rates (2 or 4 channels)—1 mL/min to 220 mL/min at a maximum pressure of 0.3 MPa. Each head accepts different tubing sizes, making the multipurpose pump head an economical choice.

  • Motor Speed Stability: Maximum of 0.5% for any variation of line voltage, torque, or temperature (from 0 to 40°C)
  • Compatibility: Easy to integrate into your existing system—control through the keypad or remotely through another device (by electrical contact or computer)
  • Compact Design: 15 cm x 17.5 cm x 18 cm (W x D x H); lightweight at 4 kg

Maintenance

Pulse-Free Flow Peristaltic Pump!

Maintenance in Lab
Gilson is reputed for the extreme quality of its products and its components. Our pumps are high quality devices produced from the finest gems of technology, but mechanical systems can’t be totally protected against wear.

  • To extend your pump lifetime, Gilson recommends regular maintenance.
  • To save time and money, Gilson offers you cost-effective solution:
  • Order Gilson genuine replacement parts perfectly designed to maintain your pump performance.

Gilson Advice

  • The only routine maintenance required is to clean up any spilled liquids and periodically clean the outside of the MINIPULS 3 with a damp cloth.
  • Replace tubing when it shows signs of wear such as flatness or cracking.
  • Damaged tubing can cause excessive pulsations and erratic flow.

For troubleshooting information, please refer to the MINIPULS 3 user's guide.

Quality

The MINIPULS 3 is resistant over time. Solidly constructed from robust, chemically resistant materials, it ensures reliable liquid transfer even in the most challenging environments. The built-in overflow is your protection in case of tubing rupture.

Decontamination & Autoclaving

Part of your equipment could be contaminated accidentally. To clean:

Tubings

  • Calibrated tubings (with color coded stops) made of Silicone or PVC may be safely sterilized by coiling tubing loosely in surgical gauze and autoclaving at 15psi (1 atm), 121°C (250F°), for 20 minutes. Those made of Isoversinic and PharMed with stops cannot be sterilized by autoclaving. However, no matter the material, tubing without stops can be autoclaved.
  • Connectors and extension tubings may be safely sterilized by coiling tubing loosely in surgical gauze and autoclaving at 15psi (1 atm), 121°C (250F°), for 20 minutes. Following initial sterilization of tubing, shrinkage of 2-4% may be noted. However, no further shrinkage should occur with subsequent sterilizations.
  • Connectors and extension tubings may be also sterilized chemically, by gas (ethylene oxide) or radiation (silicone tubing only).

Control Module & Pump Head

  • The pump must not be sterilized, using an autoclave, or any other mechanical device.
  • If a cloth dampened with soapy water is used to clean the instrument, only domestic soap may be used. No other form of detergent or chemical may be used
