The Optima vacuum samplers from Teledyne ISCO are a heavy duty, all season refrigerated composite/sequential wastewater sampler. With a fiberglass base and body, the all season unit is suitable for corrosive environments and severe outdoor/indoor conditions.
The Optima vacuum pump exceeds EPA transport velocity requirements and generates a stronger purge. Optima samplers collect specified volumes of water at programmed times or flow intervals and deposits them into refrigerated composite or sequential sample containers.
Their piston vacuum pumps provide long-term consistent sampling with vertical lifts of up to 28 feet (8.5 m). With a powerful pump, the sampler can draw a sample from a longer distance. The pump provides a strong purge to remove contamination. The Optima sampler delivers accurate and repeatable samples with two different technologies:
- The Optima QLS has a patented Quick Lift Sampler (QLS) system that uses a load cell to precisely weigh each sample and it self-calibrates to maintain the specified sample size. Collect samples at various programmable sample volumes with no need of manual adjustments.
- The Optima CVE has a Consistent Volume Extraction (CVE) system, and it reliably trims each sample to the same useradjustable volume. Optional diaphragm pump for low lift applications.
