- Room air is drawn into the inlet grill; air in the plenum beneath the work surface mixes room air and air from the work area
- Contaminated air is drawn through the back plenum by the blower, with approximately 70% recirculated through the supply HEPA filter and back over the work area
- Remaining contaminated air passes through the exhaust HEPA filter before being discharged to the environment
