Our Insect Respiration Chamber can be used to measure CO2 respiration from small insects. Insects are easily introduced into the chamber by sliding off the black end caps on either end.
There are no electrical connections required. Literally plug and play, the white pneumatic connector snaps right into the PLC “Gas” port on the back of the CIRAS-3. The short gas tubing labeled “A” connects to one end of the chamber.
The small length of tubing on the “Y” connector is used as a vent to atmosphere. A link pipe between “REF IN” and “AIR OUT” in place as shown is required when performing gas exchange measurements.
