The GUNT HM 170.22 Pressure Distribution on an Aerofoil NACA 0015 is designed for use in the HM 170 wind tunnel to teach the fundamentals of lift generation on an aerofoil. The experiment demonstrates the pressure distribution on a body immersed in a flow, showing high pressure on the upper side and low pressure on the underside of the aerofoil. The angle of attack can be varied by rotating the mount, and the surface of the aerofoil is fitted with measuring holes arranged to minimize interaction. Each measuring point has a hose connection, and two side panels prevent secondary flows. The aerofoil is used in the wind tunnel’s force sensor, and static pressures are displayed on the tube manometers HM 170.50 or the electronic pressure measurement HM 170.55.
