The GUNT Determination of the Vapour Content ET 805.50 trainer allows the precise measurement of the vapour content x, defined as the ratio of vapour mass to total mass. It uses water (steam) as the working medium and applies a two-stage method with separating and throttling calorimeters to determine vapour content across the full range from wet to dry saturated steam.
Product Features
- Determines vapour content (x) using separating and throttling calorimeters
- Separating calorimeter with cyclone water separator for high liquid content (x = 0.5)
- Throttling calorimeter for wet vapour (0.95 = x = 1) with depressurisation and liquefaction in a water-cooled condenser
- Sensors measure pressure and temperature before and after depressurisation
- Results can be analyzed using the h-s diagram
- Externally generated steam required, e.g., electrical steam generator WL 315.02
- Recommended for steam power plants ET 805, ET 830, ET 850, or ET 833
Benefits
- Accurate determination of vapour content across full range from wet to dry steam
- Practical training on separating and throttling calorimeters
- Supports measurement and analysis of real steam conditions in power plants
- Enhances understanding of thermodynamic processes and steam properties
Why Choose GUNT Determination of the Vapour Content ?
This trainer provides hands-on experience for measuring vapour content, making it ideal for education and research in steam power plant applications and thermodynamic studies.
