Application
- The sample is introduced through the injection/back flush valve into a pre-column
- After the elution of Carbon dioxide (CO2) into the analysis column, the valve is switched to back flush the remaining components to the vent
- CO2 is separated from Air and CO on the first analytical column
- The latter are trapped on the second column while CO2 elutes over the bypass to the detector
- Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Carbon monoxide are further separated on the second column
- Detection is done by the Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD)
