GUNT HM 500.11 - Vortex Flow Meter

The GUNT HM 500.11 - Vortex Flow Meter is designed for use in the water circuit of the HM 500 trainer. It operates based on the Von Karman vortex shedding principle, where vortices are alternately formed downstream of a dam body in the flow. The frequency of vortex separation on both sides of the dam body is directly proportional to the flow rate. These alternating vortices create local pressure variations that are detected by capacitive pressure sensors. The resulting pressure signals are processed and displayed as flow rate values.
