Hello, could you please advice me about a stand system to hold the microscope ?Thank you.
Answer
The included stand is a simple plastic cup-like stand that holds the microscope at a set distance. The optional boom-stand, accessory part number 48708-24, can be seen pictured in the 2011/2012 catalog link (found in the "literature box" under "accessories" and provides right to left and up and down support. The optional goose-neck stand, accessory part number 48708-27, is similar to the boom-stand however it utilizes a adjustable goose-neck to offer support in any position.Answered on 9/20/2011 by Jen from Technical Support
How does the measurement function of the software works? Do we have to calibrate for each magnification used?
Answer
The current software lays a ruler on the screen, and to be accurate calibration must be done at each magnification.Answered on 6/7/2010 by Jen from Technical Support
Is it possible to use this on slides with background illumination.
Answer
The unit has an automatically adjusting brightness feature that should help with back lighting. Also, the LED's may be turned off.Answered on 3/18/2010 by Jen from Technical Support
Is the USB cable fixed (hardwired) to the unit or is it replaceable? If it is fixed, what is its approximate length? USB 2.0 can support cable lengths up to 5m - 3m or better would be perfect for our application.
Answer
The USB cable is hard wired into the back of the microscope, and the cable is 2m long. A custom option may be available for you. Please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found in the "contact us" section on the web page).Answered on 12/9/2010 by Jack from Technical Support
What are the working distances between the microscope & the specimen when the magnification is at 10X, 50X, 100X and 200X ?
Answer
We have the following working distances and magnifications only: 10x: 150mm | 20x: 95mm | 50x: 13mmAnswered on 3/16/2010 by Jen from Technical Support
What file formats can data be saved in? Typically, how large are the motion files per sixty seconds of recording?
Answer
The default file type for pictures is a .jpeg and for movies is .avi. The movie file size will be about 8.6MB per sec, so 60 seconds would be about 516MB.Answered on 7/23/2010 by Jen from Technical Support
What is the frame rate of the recorded movie for the case of 200x magnification ? Is it approximately 8-10 frames per second as that of the usual digital microscope ?Is there any function that limits scanning pixel sizes for faster frame rate recording ?
Answer
Although the software will capture video, this is intended to examine stationary objects so we do not have information for moving objects, and do not consider it to be suitable for moving inspections.Answered on 9/14/2011 by Jen from Technical Support
Which are the product dimensions (size)?
Answer
The microscope is 38mm in diameter by 115mm in length. The shipping carton is: Height=2.30", Length=8.30", Width=6.50".Answered on 3/24/2011 by Mike from Tech Support
