Can an alarm be set when using the count-up feature? For instance an alarm is set for 30 minutes, the count-up timer is started, the alarm goes off when the timer has counted up to 30 minutes and the count up continues after that until the start/stop button is pressed. Is the timer capable of this?
Answer
This timer does not have an alarm on the count-up timer. The alarm will only function as part of the count-down timer as you are setting the alarm to go off after a set amount of times goes by, or counts down.Answered on 8/4/2011 by Mike from Tech Support
Can I preset one button for each timing. I would like for the operator to simply hit the first button to start the first count down, the second button for the second count down and so on.In clear, I want just only one action on a specific button to start a preset timing. Is it possible?
Answer
Once desired time is on display, press START/STOP button to begin timing down. All four timing channels can be running simultaneously.Answered on 11/15/2013 by Dan from Technical Support
Can this unit be set so that the alarm (or beep) is silenced and does not beep when the time is counted down to zero? I am wanting to use this unit so that a person who is speaking to an audience can see how much time he has left and when his time has expired, but I do not want an alarm to sound that would interrupt his closing comments.
Answer
No, this product cannot have it's alarms silenced. Instead I would recommend part number: 94461-16, which is a two channel (instead of four) large digit countdown timer that uses green and red LEDs to signal alarm, in addition to an audible alarm that can be muted.Answered on 5/5/2011 by Jack from Technical Support
Can you set this time for 5 different times all at the same time?
Answer
No, this timer is four-channel, so four separate timers can count down simultaneously.Answered on 1/25/2011 by Jack from Technical Support
Does this timer have a base so as to stand upright on its own?
Answer
Yes, it has a flip-open easel for standing on the lab bench, a spring fastener for clipping to a notebook/clipboard, and an opening for a lanyard. This unit also has a magnetic back that allows the timer to be placed on any metal surface such as incubators or water baths.Answered on 1/26/2011 by Jen from Technical Support
