Can someone please explain to me the differences betwen the six different footswitches available? What is the difference between "momentary stop/start" and "maintained contact"? What is "Wash down"?
Answer
Momentary or maintained contact refer to the action your foot must take to turn the system on/off. A momentary contact switch means that you would press the switch once to turn the unit on, and it would continue to run until you press it again; turning the unit off. The maintained contact switch requires you to maintain contact to keep the unit on. While you are pressing the switch it will keep the unit on, and as soon as you release, it will stop. Washdown means that a unit is atleast IP56, or can handle the use of strong jets of water for cleaning, and not sustain damage. For help selecting a foot switch for your drive, please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance.Answered on 11/10/2009 by Josh from Technical Support
I have a Masterflex I/P Digital Console Drive Model# 77420-00. The pump is a metered pump where you hit start/stop and it dispenses the programmed volume. Will this foot switch work with this pump?
Answer
The 07523-92 footswitch is not washdown proof and therefore is not recommended with the 77420-00. The footswitch that is washdown proof and is recommended with this drive is part number 07595-43.Current pricing and availability are listed on our website.Answered on 2/7/2011 by Jaime from Technical Support
