  • Ensure optimal performance from your Masterflex® pump
  • Slightly greater clarity than peroxide-cured tubing
  • Smooth surfaces; lower protein binding levels
  • Fewer potential leachables
  • Ideal for pharmaceutical and biotechnology use

Masterflex® I/P® pump tubing is manufactured to extremely close tolerances that match our I/P ®pump heads, ensuring accurate, repeatable flow and long tubing life. Our pump tubing is factory-tested and optically inspected to provide the best performance from your peristaltic pump. Our High-performance precision pump tubing features a thicker wall compared to our Precision pump tubing, making it the best choice for applications involving pressure, suction lift, viscous fluids, or long tubing life. See 96119-73 for the irradiated version of this tubing.

How many sterilization cycles does masterflex 26 tubing resist ?what is the differential p[ressure i can apply while operating the peristaltic pump?
Answer
The tubing was tested for 25 cycles, at 15 psi for 30 minutes and 121C autoclave conditions, without notable changes in the tubing. This tubing has a maximum continuous pressure rating of 25 psi, with up to 40 psi spikes. Differential pressures should not exceed the maximum pressures listed.Answered on 12/29/2010 by Jen from Technical Support
How much volume of water would one foot of the tubing hold?
Answer
The I/P 73 tube has an inner diameter of .37 inches. To calculate the total volume in one foot, we would use the equation V = hπr². h = the length of the tube (12"), π = 3.14, and r = .185. (12")(3.14)(0.185²) = 1.289598 inches cubed. This is then converted to 21.1327mL.Answered on 10/7/2013 by Polo from Technical Support
I want 50 ft long. Do you have that?
Answer
The only other size this tubing is normally sold in is 150 foot packs, please see part number 96403-73.Answered on 10/12/2011 by Jen from Technical Support
Is this compatable with Toluene? if not, is there anything compatable other then Viton Tubing?
Answer
Unfortunately platinum-cured silicone tubing is not compatible with toluene (it has a "D" rating which would mean that there would be severe softening, swelling, and/or shrinkage). The only 2 types of tubing that it is compatible with for this size of tubing is either Viton tubing or Chem-Sure tubing (96412-73 for Viton and 96212-73 for Chem-Sure). Please contact us if you need additional help in selecting the appropriate tubing for your application (Contact information can be found under the Contact Us section on our website).Answered on 2/17/2011 by Jaime from Technical Support
Is this tubing compatible with Sodium Acetate Trihydrate? What kind of tubing should be instead of it if not compatible? Thanks.
Answer
Silicone is not recommended; Tygon would be a better option but an immersion test is recommended. A tubing test kit is available as item# 00101-10.Answered on 10/9/2013 by Dan from Technical Support
please specify silicon tube outer diameter and inner diameter for pump head GJ-77200-52
Answer
Pump head part number 77200-52 will accept tubing sizes L/S® 15, L/S 24, L/S 35, and L/S 36The outer diameter of all MasterFlex tubing is considered proprietary. Please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found on the product web page).Answered on 1/29/2010 by Jen from Technical Support
This page seems to suggest this is gamma-irradiated as supplied - can you confirm that or is it just saying that its gamma irradiatable? Thanks
Answer
We apologize for the confusion. This specification actually represents that the product can be sterilized by gamma irradiation. It does not mean that it comes gamma-irradiated as supplied. Please contact us if you have any further questions.Answered on 3/26/2010 by Jaime from Technical Support
What is the heat transfer coefficient of this tubing?
Answer
The heat transfer coefficient or thermal conductivity is not a parameter or a specification that is tested for. Unfortunately there is no specific data that we can provide for this. In general the thermal conductivity of silicone rubber is about 0.2. W/mΩ·K.Answered on 9/27/2013 by Jose from Technical Support
What is the shore hardness rating of this tubing?
Answer
60(A) is the durometer.Answered on 11/27/2013 by Dan from Technical Support
