Have placed a new battery in the unit and am only getting 88's on the display and no functions are working. Have tried to reset but that has not worked either.
Answer
The instruction manual states that when the display is showing 88.8, it is while resetting the minimum and maximum temperature memories for either the probe or ambient temperature. The min-reset and max-reset buttons should clear this. If none of the buttons are clearing this from the screen, there may have been a short or another error in the thermometer. I need to set alarms for minimum and maximum temperatures. Is that possible with this model thermometer?
Answer
Item 94460-74 has both high and low alarm function to set alarms for minimum and maximum temperatures.Answered on 12/20/2011 by Rita from Customer Service
I would like to know if the probe can be taken apart from the bottle. The refrigerator we have in our clinic has a small opening on the side were only the cord and the probe can fit thru but not the bottle. we are looking for a thermometer with bottle sensor that we can pass thru this opening. Thanks
Answer
The probe is sealed in the bottle of glycol, so it is not meant to be removable. I would suggest looking at the 94460-72 thermometer, as the probe is removable from the actual meter portion, so you could thread the cable through to the meter and reconnect it.Answered on 4/18/2013 by Mike S from Technical Support
what is the frequency for changing this glycol liquid ?If the liquid spills/bottle breaks how to overcome do we get spare of this liquid?
Answer
The glycol is in a sealed container, so it should need replacement. It would prove difficult to break the plastic bottle. If this occurs we suggest replacement of the entire unit since the probe may also be damaged and the calibration is based on the probe and meter together.Answered on 1/3/2012 by Jen from Technical Support
What is the warranty period of this product
Answer
The warrantry is for one year.Answered on 9/18/2009 by Jen from Technical Support
