HM 163.80 consists of a stainless steel frame on which different beach surfaces are mounted. The inclination of the beach can be changed in 5% steps in order to observe the wave run-up under different conditions.
Different types of beaches are studied: a beach with a permeable surface or an impermeable beach, a plain or a rough
beach.
